Story
In these difficult times, getting out of the house, into nature, and taking part in our daily exercise has become a day to day necessity for many. It allows a temporary escape from the current situation, and can benefit your mental health just as much as your physical. However, for those without homes, there is no option for such an escape, and the outdoors, now more than ever, represents a risk to their wellbeing.
Simon Community Scotland have launched an urgent appeal due to the increased risk to those without homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Friday the 19th of June I aim to run a half marathon (13.1 miles) at Whitlee wind farm with all donations going towards this cause.
