Story
The Coast 2 Coast cyclists are back out on the road again this year, cycling 220 miles from Gairloch back to Aberdeen through stunning Scottish countryside, all in aid of raising money for charity. This is my third time of participating and the training doesn't get any easier!
Please give generously as all money raised will go directly to the charities, along with employee matching and don't forget to GIft Aid it if you are eligible.
Archie has supported Aberdeen Neonatal Unit for nearly 40 years and is the fundraising partner for NHS Grampian’s new Baird Family Hospital. The Baird will replace Aberdeen’s aging maternity hospital and neonatal unit. It will also encompass breast screening & surgery, gynaecology and reproductive medicine services.
Archie’s Fundraising will deliver the extras, beyond government funding, to transform this clinically state-of-the-art hospital into a world-class facility. Archie’s £2m appeal will fund environment enhancement (art / environment has been proven to improve healthcare outcomes) and specialist equipment with a suite of options open to the C2C team. Top of the neonatal equipment “wishlist” are a brain function monitor for asphyxiated babies (£25k) and non-invasive jaundice monitors (£6k). Alternatively £28,500 could fund all the artworks on the 2nd floor wards and corridors including the link bridge between the Baird and ARI and RACH plus the sanctuary window artworks.
