LETS Hub
Campaign by Community Interest Luton (RCN 1173433)
The Luton Employment, Training and Skills (LETS) Hub offers support, training and guidance to anyone who is unemployed and trying to get back into work.

Story

A job offers more than just a wage, it increases self-esteem and gives people a positive focus in their life. The LETS Hub offers free support and training for people trying to get into work. Individuals spend 12 weeks with the team and receive intensive support and training to ensure they have as many of the right skills they need to increase their chances of finding a job. By increasing the number of people in work, it decreases the number of families living in poverty, improves spending locally, reduces crime rates and increases cohesion in the community. Luton has one of the highest rates of unemployment in the country, with 10,300 people who are unemployed or economically inactive. So it is a real issue in the town. The LETS Hub helps people to better their own future and define their own job prospects. It has been incredibly successful to date but they need to raise money to extend their opening hours and ensure they can support everyone who wants to access its services.
