Hello, 

So Me and local hero Ian Jackson running a half marathon. Some of you may already know, some might not, but me and my wife, Katie have been trying for baby for a good couple of years to no success. We’ve had two rounds of IVF treatment and are about to embark on our third. I won’t lie, it has been one of the worse, traumatising and stressful time of our lives  and all my love and thoughts go out to those currently undergoing IVF. 

What I hope to do is to help raise a few pennies for Fertility Network UK who help support and council couples of all genders going through fertility complications.

 I also hope to raise awareness around the craziness which is the IVF lottery with the CCG’s. In some places of the country you are entitled to 3 rounds for IVF some places only 1. How is this fair? We need to help bring awareness around this injustice, this IVF postcode lottery and get IVF treatment regulated so everyone has access to three rounds.

Finally, earlier this year my Gramps who lived in Keyworth passed away. So I will be running the half marathon with him in my heart.
