September 11th a group of us will be walking Colwyn Bay to Prestatyn wearing yellow and raising money for Blind Veterans. This charity meant so much to my Grandad who sadly passed away to Covid in September 2020. Blind Veterans gave him so many opportunities, equipment and trips that he spoke about everyday. He would often go to Llandudno on holiday to the Blind veterans and he was a well loved member there. We loved hearing all about his adventures with the group. My Grandad went to hospital and for two months we was not allowed to go and see him due to the pandemic. Thanks to Blind Veterans they provided him with a mobile suitable for blind people so we were all able to communicate. We couldn’t thank them enough for this.
