Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I'd been hoping to take part in the Great Scottish Swim on 29th August. Due to an unforseen clash of dates I did my one mile indoors on 13th September!
I managed to swim the 64 lengths in 47 minutes!
I swam on that day at Westwoods Health Club in Edinburgh. We're desperate to get some more money raised so that we can order Jodie's chair as soon as possible!
Our family are fundraising for an all-terrain wheelchair for Jodie who is 15. Since we got our puppy, Buster, last October, we've realised how difficult it is for Jodie to come for a walk unless the path is well surfaced and fairly flat. She'd like to venture more into the countryside with confidence and share the fun we have with Buster. Even a trip to the beach means she's left on the pavement watching everyone else enjoying the sand and sea. Her new chair can easily handle sand, shingle, water, mud, uneven ground and slopes.
Doug and his friend Ben have raised over £4,000 with their Cairngorm Hike, so I'd like to do my bit as well.
We need to raise at least £10,000 in total for the chair, then there will be the cost of adapting it for Jodie.
Please help us, every donation - whatever the amount - is very much appreciated and will make a big diffeence to Jodie.
Thank you, Les XXX
