Story
To everyone who has sponsored and supported me and my Loch Ness Marathon run for Erskine - THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!
The last couple of weeks were a struggle due to injury but thankfully in the end, all my hard work and training paid off! :0)
Between all my fantastic donations on Just Giving and the cash donations received I have raised well over £1000.00 which is just amazing!
Thank you all once again,
Lesley
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, which is set up in aid of my Loch Ness Marathon Run for Erskine. I only started running in August 2012 - never did I think for one minute I would ever consider running a marathon!
Despite the hard training involved so far, I am inspired by my choice of Charity to run for - Erskine - and would appreciate it if you could please take a few minutes to read about the charity below.
Erskine has been looking after our veterans for almost 100 years and is the leading care organisation for ex-Service men and women in Scotland.
When Erskine was founded in 1916 their aim was to care for Service men and women who had been injured in active service. It has since cared for Scotland's veterans through two world wars and many other conflicts and peace keeping initiatives of the 20th and 21st Centuries.
Rebuilding shattered lives, restoring dignity and providing first class care to ex-service men and women both young and old have been the cornerstone on which Erskine ha built an unrivalled reputation.
Today, care remains the cornerstone of the charity's philosophy. It is more important than ever that Erskine can continue to provide the highest level of care that our veterans so richly deserve and raise further awareness of the work that Erskine does, through events and activities such as the Loch Ness Marathon.
Any donations are appreciated - Thank you.
Lesley
