Story
On Sunday 13 May 2012 we will be running the 10K for Marie Curie Cancer Care in memory of Francis McGuigan.
Francis wasn't ready to go like many others when he was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 34. He put up an amazing fight but unfortunately passed away on his 36th birthday. Francis lived his short life to the full and made every day count. He made each day feel like an occassion, a quality that so many of us don't have. He was loved by many and left an impression on all those fortunate to spend any time with him no matter how short.
The staff at Marie Curie Cancer Care provided amazing help and support to Francis and his loved ones at a truly difficult time and for this reason we want to try and raise as much money as possible in his memory. I know times are hard but any donations would make a contribution to Marie Curie's amazing work. If you don't feel comfortable donating on a site like this then please pass this on to me and I will be happy to donate on your behalf.
