Story

Right now, thousands of people at the sharp end of poverty are at risk of being pushed into homelessness. The cost of living crisis is forcing many into making unthinkable choices between eating, heating or keeping a roof over their head. Standing with people to show we care has never been more urgent. Every year Crisis at Christmas opens its doors to people facing homeless, offering much needed warmth, healthcare, food and company. For many, it's the start of specialist support that lasts all year round, enabling them to leave homelessness behind for good. Every £29.07 raised could give someone a Crisis Christmas. You can help someone like Andrei. After being unable to get a new contract with his work, Andrei couldnt pay his rent was forced onto the streets. He contacted Crisis and was given a coach, who supported him to claim Universal Credit and find longer-term accommodation. "All that pressure, all that weight was gone. And now I can focus on my next steps."
