Story
As you all know, we recently lost our amazing Lesley - wife, mum, nanny, daughter, sister and friend to many. No words can ever explain this loss and she will never be forgotten. As her family we hope to make her proud as she did with us. She fought strongly through a battle that couldn't be won. She is the best mum and wife we could ever have asked for.
Lesley was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2020. She fought gracefully through chemo, surgery and radiotherapy to be in remission and was discharged in the all clear November 2021.
Summer 2022 we all received the devasting news that the cancer had returned and spread to her lungs. Again, Lesley was strong and endured all the recommended treatment again.
Our world fell apart in December / January 2023 when she was becoming more unwell and we were told the cancer was progressing and there was no further treatment options.
Despite becoming progressively unwell, she was strong and fought through to the very end, ensuring she spent time and made further memories with her family and friends. We lost our amazing wife and mum on Monday 13th February 2023 aged 63. She was at home surrounded by all her family as per her wish.
Macmillian nurses supported Lesley throughout her cancer journey to provide support and advice. They were always helpful but honest about everything throughout.
Lesley requested prior to her passing away for family flowers and otherwise donations to the charities that supported her including Macmillan and Heart of Kent Hospice. We will have donation boxes at funeral too.
