Molly Ollys Wishes are the brain child behind Olly the Brave.

1 child in every 500 in the UK will develop some form of cancer by the age of 14 and current data suggests there are 1,900 new cases of childhood (0 to 14 years in age) cancer in UK each year. More children are told that they have another life threatening or life limiting illness in one form or another. Many of these, especially those diagnosed with leukaemia, will be under 5 years old. Molly Olly’s Wishes has developed a therapeutic toy lion called Olly The Brave and accompanying story books, to help support these children.  These are donated free of charge to children either through their hospital or can be requested directly.

When my daughter Keira was diagnosed with brain cancer at only 8 weeks old, it was hard to explain to our older son who was 3 at the time what was happening to his sister. Molly Ollys Wishes had supplied the hospital with Olly The Brave teddies and also story books. We were able to read these to our son to help him understand a little more about what was happening to his sister. Olly has also been by Keira for most of her treatment as well. 

Keira's family and friends are taking on the Dartmoor Tors and will be raising money for not only Molly Ollys Wishes, but 7 other amazing charities. We hope to rise some money to help provide more Olly the Brave Teddies and story books to hospitals to help other child like Keira.
