Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Damion (danny) & i are doing a 10k walk on 31st August in memory of my wonderul mum who passed away on 1st May this year after a couragous battle with cancer.  Unfoturnately my mum only had 10 months from diagnosis till the day she died, the illness spreading so fast at the end, there was not even any chance to admit mum to the hospice.

We, her family moved in to care for mum round the clock to see to her every need, this was very exhausting and we could never have managed this without the help of Marie curie, who provided a nurse every night to sit with my mum and care for her, allowing us to get to bed, recharge our batteries & a prepare us for the next day ahead. Their help was truly amazing.

The day we are doing the walk will be very poignant as this would have been my mum's 60th birthday. We intended to take mum on a surprise trip away abroad to celebrate her special birthday but this was never to be. Instead we will be doing this walk, remembering mum & trying to raise some pennies along the way for a wonderful charity.
