Story
Thank you so much for visiting my page. I hope that means you are about to make a donation!!
This year I am running the GREAT NORTH RUN to raise money for TheTeenage Cancer Trust. For the first time since I started running I have a real cause to be passionate about the charity I am raising money for.
Earlier this year my daughter Sophie lost a good friend of hers to cancer. Beth was only 14 years old. She was a beautiful, talented, funny and inspirational person and I can't put into words how it affected so many people that knew and loved her. Her friends were all devastated, and as a parent of one of those friends I could only stand by helplessly and try to imagine the utter devastation for Beth and her family.
No amount of money raised will bring Beth back, but the help and support The Teenage Cancer Trust can offer during what I can only imagine to be the most terrifying of experiences for kids who get cancer, and their families, is the best and only way I can offer to try and make a difference.
Lots of us have children, some are already teenagers, some will become teenagers, and I pray to God that for everyone reading this page, all of your children make it to adulthood without ever having to worry about what TheTeenage Cancer Trust can do to help. But just imagine where you would turn if they didn't??

I have a personal challenge this year that has evaded me since I started running The GREAT NORTH RUN 6 years ago. I have yet to run in under 2 hours. My best time is 2hrs 1min and 5 sec's!!!!!
I want to raise as much money as I can for Teenage Cancer Trust, SO, I want everyone who donates to also make me a pledge that if I run in under 2 hours you will DOUBLE your donation. The more people that pledge this, the more of an incentive I have on the day to push extra hard to earn those extra £££'s for this amazing charity.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my page, and even £1 donated (£2 if I run in under 2 hours please??) can really help to make a difference in treating teenage cancer.
God bless you Beth. Rest in peace sweetheart xx
