Story
Bowel Cancer UK is a charity close to our hearts, especially after my recent diagnosis with a form of bowel cancer. My doctors and nurses have been amazing at both QE and the Freeman hospital, with a quick diagnosis, leading to chemo-radiotherapy treatment, which I’ve just completed followed by a plan in place for surgery later in the year, which will leave me cancer free.
I’d like to raise money and awareness of bowel cancer in younger people especially. With our work and everyone else’s we can keep making a difference and raise money for further research, treatments and cures.
Andy and I would like our family and friends to join us on our fundraising day on 20th August from 2pm. Raising money for Bowel Cancer UK, along with an amazing raffle fundraising for Maggies Newcastle who are based at the Freeman hospital. I can’t run, walk, cycle or swim at the moment, but I sure can bake, lol. There will be brews of all kinds, cakes and other food, along with kids activity table, garden games and music ❤️🥳
