Story
I have been a keen supporter of the Royal Marines charity for a number of years and have helped out at a few of their events. I think it is important to support this charity as they support the ex service people who have defended our country and also support their families.
Last year I collected for them at the Exeter Chiefs match, the year before I helped at their Iron Man, where I stood on a hill on the run section until late at night - those athletes were amazing and all very cheerful at the end of a grueling day.
Previous to Covid, I also helped at the commando challenge event itself, so I thought maybe this time I ought to take part, although being only 5ft 1 tall I am quite concerned as to how I will get over those obstacles at the bottom field! I have seen the Royal Marines doing it on numerous occasions but they are trained for that sort of thing. Anyway, I will give it my best and will try to get through the whole challenge.
Please support the charity by sponsoring me to take part in this event.
Thank you.
