Story
Why Brain Research UK? - There are so many neurological conditions, some that affect us and our loved ones daily, brain aneurysms, stroke, brain tumours, MND, Alzheimers, Tourette's, Alzheimer's, migraine, to name a few and some of these conditions have had a huge impact on our lives personally so we wanted to raise money for a charity that was very important to us.
Lesley Strachan - Every day, I see what my Mum goes through to live with the fear of knowing that she has two inoperable brain aneurysms. A few months ago, this became even harder as we sadly lost my auntie, to a ruptured brain aneurysm. We know this condition can be hereditary, but for my auntie this was undiagnosed and very sudden, and the impact this has had on my family is huge. I am running the London Marathon in her memory and in honour of my Mum. I hope I do them both proud.
Anya Paton - When I read the list of conditions to benefit from the work of Brain Research UK, I knew it would be an honour to support this charity. So many of these conditions have affected my family and closest friends and I have witnessed the immense impact that this has had on their daily lives. So for those loved ones no longer with us and to those who continue to battle these conditions, I will be running the London Marathon with each of you in my thoughts.
Karen Adams - I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for a charity close to our hearts and in support of my friends. We plan to run together as a team and support each other through what will be a tough day, both physically and emotionally.
