Hope House Children’s Hospice is close to my heart as my best friend, her daughter Lily and their family are wonderfully supported in ways most of us couldn't imagine. 

I use to live in Cardiff during University and have always fancied this challenge so i decided to run and hopefully raise money for Hope House. Like many other charities they need so much support and by doing a little bit - with your help we can help these charities. 

Like Lily, many children are supported and cared for in Hope House when they have respite visits - Hope house give them wonderful experiences and for families the love and care is priceless.

On my facebook posts i have given examples of how Hope House can use the money they raise. They certainly do need support. They support more than 750 local families who are either caring for a seriously ill child, or whose child has died. Hope House are here to make sure that no one faces the death of their child alone. It costs £7.5 million every year to run our services and with only receiving approximately two month’s income from statutory sources we rely on the support of our community to fund the remaining 10 months of the year. Their ambition is to also raise an additional £2.5 million each year to make sure we reach every child, mum, dad, brother and sister who needs our help.
