Story
Our much fought for son, Leo Phoenix, was born sleeping on 17th January 2016 at 2:33am, weighing 6lb 4oz. We found out the news that he had passed away two days earlier, so we had a bit of time to prepare to finally meet our son.
Although tragic, this time has been bittersweet for us. We have been able to spend time with Leo, hold him, and create memories that will never be forgotten. With every person we have had to break this news to, we are increasingly humbled by everyone's kind words and actions, and to witness how much love Leo had waiting for him... this makes us the proudest of parents.
We would like to share the incredible work of the teams at the John Radcliffe Women's Centre. If ever there was an advert for a profession, the midwifes who have cared for us, Leo and our families are it. There are no words to adequately describe them.
They are supported by the Ashfield Fund and the SANDS charity. Without these two, they would not have been able to provide the level of care, support or memories that we have received. We only hope other families around the country are able to access this support and therefore wish to dedicate our futures to supporting them in many ways.
So many people are already doing things in Leo's name, and this means so much to us. We have created this page to keep track of everything and so we know the true value of Leo's legacy.
Your story may be short Leo, but it's your story, and we will continue to write it for you. We are so very proud of you and your mummies will always love you, Leo Phoenix.
