Story
Hi all!
On Saturday 11th September I will be swimming/cycling and running in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon!
I am doing the event in aid of Horatios Garden. Horatio’s Garden is a national charity creating and nurturing beautiful gardens in NHS spinal injury centres to support everyone affected by spinal injury. The charity aims to grow communities around the gardens in order to support patients, their families and friends facing long stays in NHS hospitals.
The charity is especially important to me since 7 years ago one of my dearest friends had a life changing spinal accident. Whilst visiting her at Stanmore (London Spinal Cord Injury Centre in the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital) in 2014, I can imagine how peaceful and special it would have been for a garden to have visited then. It is so fantastic that Horatios Garden opened at Stanmore in 2020, for more patients to enjoy.
Thank you so much in advance for your support for this fantastic charity, it really means so much to me to raise money for Horatios Garden.
Pics to follow in due course!

Horatios Garden London & South East is located at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, home of the London Spinal Cord Injury Centre. The garden has been created by celebrated garden designer Tom Stuart-Smith for patients, their loved ones and NHS staff to enjoy. The garden is cared for by Head Gardener, Ashley, and Admin Assistant, Tracey, who are supported by a wonderful community of volunteers. As well as maintaining the garden and planting, the team leads garden therapy, art sessions, events and activities for patients, their friends and family. Horatio's Garden improves mental and physical wellbeing, positively impacting patients' long-term rehabilitation.
