Event: Trek26 Brecon Beacons - 26 miles, on 4 September 2021
In memory of Tony Wiffen
Journey through a spectacular area of wild moorland, tumbling waterfalls and sweeping mountain slopes in the Brecon Beacons. Trek for loved ones, and raise money so together we can find a cure.

Story

My father experienced dementia for twelve years and passed away in the summer of 2019. Dementia has a huge impact on the lives of those who experience it, as well as their carers and families. In our ageing society dementia continues to affect more and more people. I'm supporting Alzheimer’s Society in their research and their support for those affected. Dad loved walking in the mountains and I'm doing this in memory of him.

I was originally scheduled to trek up Snowdon at night on 29th May but regrettably that had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. I therefore transferred to a 26 mile trek in the Brecon Beacons on 5th September - thank you for your continued support!!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
