Story
I hope you are all keeping safe and staying well. The last few months have certainly been challenging, unfortunately more so for some people than others .
We have all had to learn to adapt to a different way of life that none of us could have ever imagined. Things we have all taken for granted have been removed or restricted from our daily lives, but there is now a glimmer of light as we cautiously move forward.
Charities and charity events have been greatly impacted by COVID-19. A McMillan Charity hike I had planned in June had to be postponed along with the National 3 Peaks Challenge until next year . However there have been thousands of events cancelled around the world, which in turn has impacted on charity donations.
So having climbed in 2019 with Lisa we have set ourselves a few challenges for 2020 and 2021. We will be cycling, running and walking! The first of the events we have planned is:-
Coast to Coast Cycle Ride - 215 mile Coast to Coast from Southport
on the west coast to Hornsea on the east.
Monday 14th September to Friday 18th September
By completing all the challenges we have planned, I personally hope to raise enough money to be split equally between bloodcancer/Blood Wise and bowelcancer.uk
Both are awful diseases that touch too many lives in the UK and around the world. I know we are forever being bombarded with requests for money for sponsorship or collections or simply everyday life, but if you could spare a tiny donation it all makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support
