Story

I am raising money for Hanna's Orphanage by doing the Major Series Run on 17th March (it's quite a daunting event name isn't it?!)

It's a 10-12km run that involves all sorts of obstacles, hills, water, wading through mud, possibly climbing a few hay bales, and who knows what else. Here's a link to a nice little video of what I'll be putting myself through:

The money is going to Hanna's Orphanage, which is a small charity that supports an orphanage in Ethiopa. The charity is entirely run by volunteers, so every bit of it goes to the orphanage rather than to people's wages or anything else. They help to provide all sorts of things for the orphanage including books and writing materials, clothes, toys and games, tables and chairs, food, and even contributing towards housing. I'm paying the entry fee for this event myself as well, so everything you give will go straight to Hanna's Orphanage.

Please feel free to have a look at everything the charity does, and has done already, here:

This is a bit of a personal challenge as well. I'm rather unfit (to put it modestly) having not really done much exercise for a good couple of years. So this is partly to motivate me to return to a slightly healthier state!

Please give anything you can. I'm not setting a fundraising target because every little bit helps and the orphanage will be enormously grateful for anything you can give.

Thank you.
