Story
Due to the London Marathon being cancelled in 2020 my fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK was automatically deferred to the 2021 race.
I will be running the London Marathon in 2021 in order to raise as much money as possible for Prostate Cancer UK. Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men in the UK; 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lives. Despite this, the causes of prostate cancer are still largely unknown.
In March 2019, my grandfather passed away as a result of cancer. Although he had lived with prostate cancer for over 10 years, his sudden death rocked the family. This is why I have chosen to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate Cancer UK's top priority is to fund research in order to stop prostate cancer killing men. I would like to ask you to donate a much or as little as possible in order to help them reach this goal, so that one day we can live in a world where families are not destroyed due to men dying from prostate cancer.
I am logging all of my activity on Strava (you can find me here: https://www.strava.com/athletes/14971122).
Lastly, I plan to send around a weekly email update on my progress to those who are interested. If you want to receive this, please get in contact with me and I will add you to the mailing list.
Thanks for all of your support!
Leon
