This is the first long distance run or fundraising event I have taken part in and training for it has been interesting but rewarding; my style is usually sprinting or sleeping. I've wanted to do something like this for a while and I've finally gotten around to it.

As my granny is currently fighting against Breast Cancer and other health complications that is involved with the disease I thought Cancer Research UK was a good charity to run for. My granny is a battler and has done amazingly well to stay active and positive throughout her illness so the fact that I could do something to help, however small it may be, is not only personally rewarding but is something that I hope is appreciated by others that suffer from this horrible disease.
