Story
All funds raised will be going directly to Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital Charity (part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Charity group) and will be allocated to where it's needed the most, supporting three key areas: Treatment, Research, and Care. It will also go towards funding projects and will fund things like new diagnostic machines, research into new treatments, or making the hospital environment less clinical and more welcoming to patients. Leo has had a few stays at the Children’s hospital; his foot was amputated there in 2017 and he had major hip surgery in 2020. His care and treatment there has been outstanding thanks to the Staff and facilities. The days of pain and recovery (and boredom!) benefited from the comfortable bed, rehabilitation equipment and toys available on the ward. Therefore Leo has set himself the challenge of taking part in the Mini Great Manchester Run on the 21st May. He hopes to raise some money for the hospital Charity as a way of saying thank you and so that the money will go towards making the hospital an even better place for other children receiving treatment there.
Thanks for any donation you are able to make, I really appreciate your support! - Love Leo x
