On 20th October 2019 I’ll be competing in the annual beach race held in Weston Super Mare, raising money for two charities that in recent years have helped support my family through very difficult times. 

15 babies are tragically lost each day in the UK through stillbirth and neonatal death, SANDS operate throughout the UK working to improve care for bereaved parents and promote research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives. I will also be raising money to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support who offer support to every single patient who is diagnosed with cancer every 2 minutes within the UK. 

The race is 3 hours long where 1000 riders complete as many laps as they can on the 5 mile course filled with huge man made obstacles. It is a race I’ve wanted to take part in for nearly 15 years and thought there’s no better way to do it than to help out such great charities in the process. It will be the biggest test of my physical and mental capabilities that I’ve ever faced.
