Every year our parish raises funds and awareness for CAFOD.

The Lent Family Fast Day takes place on 26th February 2021 when we are invited to have a simpler meal than usual and donate the money saved to those less fortunate than ourselves.

CAFOD works with local partners and communities across the world: responding to emergencies; promoting long-term development; and raising public awareness of the causes of poverty. We work with people of all faiths and none for a safe, sustainable and peaceful world.

This Lent we are focused on the plight of people like Abdella in Ethiopia, who devote most of their day walking to get water in order to survive. CAFOD aims to help provide solar pumps so that water can be piped directly to remote villages.
