Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you know, Lorna spent some time in hospital in 2016. While she was there, we both met a man - of similar age to us, and a keen sportsman - who had suffered a life-changing brain injury.

As many of you also know, I like to do some slightly stupid things to challenge myself. So I inspired by the man I met, I decided to put this to use to raise funds for Headway - The Brain Injury Association.

In their words: "Brain injury can challenge every aspect of your life – walking, talking, thinking and feeling – and the losses can be severe and permanent. It can mean losing both the life you once lived and the person you once were."

This will culminate with an attempt to run the London to Brighton Challenge race in May of 2017. This is 100km of running, which makes it twice as far as anything I've previously attempted. Pain is certain, and success is not, but I will be trying my best to support Headway, and those who have suffered life-changing brain injury.
