My name is Irene and Im from Perth. A stroke changed my life forever. One day I was walking to cafes and meeting with friends the next I was on the kitchen floor and couldnt move. I was there alone for five hours until my daughter found me. After my stroke I struggle to walk. I really want to walk to the bus stop and get on a bus again. A few months ago I got help to walk to a café for the first time and ordered soup - I felt so proud. At the end of the month Hazel from Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland who helped me do that might not be there anymore we need funding to keep her work going.
