Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Lena's JustGiving page.
Lena and Olivia both care a lot about the situation in Ukraine. We were in London the day after the conflict started and they saw Ukrainian citizens and other people protesting outside number 10 Downing Street and asking the Uk Government to help "Stop Putin, Stop the War!". It made a big impression on them. They have been trying to raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine at school and where we live. They have been drawing Ukrainian flags and putting them on our windows and making bracelets in yellow and blue colours.
Lena would now like to raise some money to help Ukraine as part of her charities badge for Brownies. She has written to the Dartmoor Rangers and agreed that we will do a sponsored litterpick as a family on Saturday 21 May from 1.30-3.30 pm at Haytor. Ranger Bill has been very happy to help us and will lend us litterpicking equipment. We will be wearing high viz tabbards to help promote keeping the Moors clean and not dropping litter/dog poo bags. We know that households budgets are tight so no pressure to donate. She isn't expecting to raise a lot and we will sponsor her ourselves in any case!
