We are preparing to cycle from one end of the country to the other to try and raise as much money and awareness for the Alzheimers Society.

 

The event starts on the 24th June and ends on the 5 July in an effort to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society Charity which is an organisation closely linked to Anchor our employer. For further information on the charity visit the website at www.alzheimersociety.org.uk

 

The team aim to leave Land’s End at 8.00am on 24 June 2012, and all being well will reach their final destination John O’Groats on 5 July for a much needed rest.

 

We have been in training leading up to the event, and are hoping to average between 80/90 miles per day. Wherever you are along the route boost morale with a cheer and a donation!

 

This is no easy feat, but a worthy cause, the terrain is hilly, and of course, the British weather can be harsh and unpredictable. The journey will be gruelling, but the team are committed to rising to the challenge for this very worthwhile cause.
