Story
My parents, Barrie's parents and just last week a lovely school friend, have lost their lives to cancer. There are many other people amongst my family, friends, clients and colleagues who are also no longer with us because of cancer and others who have been through gruelling treatment. We all know people who currently have sadness and difficulty in their lives due to cancer. Special mention to two of my girlfriends who are currently undergoing treatment and to the others who have kicked it into touch and won!
I have chosen Cancer Research because it supports research into all types of cancers.
On a lighter note, I need a new cycling jersey and their kit is great!
I have taken on quite a challenge and have frequent wobbles about my ability to see it through. Knowing that I am helping such a good cause will keep me going, so thank you for donating whatever you can. There is a lot of training ahead and I am going to have to abandon some of my normal riding rules, such as 'its too windy to ride today' or 'its raining so I'll give it a miss'. Another common one is 'ooops I've forgotten to wash my favourite shorts and I can't go out in my old ones'. The time for excuses is over and train I must - thank you for your support.
