Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read

2023 has been a year of challenges both physically and mentally.  I have completed 2 triathlons, trail races, bike races and parkrun and each has been both rewarding and challenging.

It was at parkrun that each week I saw Jenny and her guide dog Nan taking part and I realised how lucky I was to have the freedom to take part in these challenges and races without the added challenge of sight loss.

A guide dog is life changing for people living with sight
loss as it enables them live the life they choose and have the ability to take on their own challenges such as a stroll on the beach to running a marathon…

Over the next 10 months while training to run the 2024
London Marathon, I will be learning to be a guide for visually impaired runners, experience what it is like to run with sight loss and will be holding various events to raise awareness and funds.

Please help me raise much needed funds for this worthwhile cause.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
