Story
I have organised a skydive and have managed to talk both my sister and my dad into joining me. We are doing a 15,000ft skydive on the 29th July for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance as we have been fundraising and supporting the charity since 2006. My sister Charlotte's life was saved by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in March 2006 when she was hit by a car and received life threatening injuries. Her vital signs were fading at the scene as she had received a front and rear skull fracture, her jaw was broken in five places, her cheek bone was shattered, eight of her teeth had been knocked out, her tongue hanging by a thread and her leg was snapped in half. If it wasn't for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance who managed to airlift her to Leeds LGI a distance of 19.8 miles in just 12 minutes Charlotte would not be with us today. Over the years we have raised thousands of pounds for this amazing charity as it is very close to our heart's and they are continuing to save lives every day.
Thanks to the Yorskire Air Ambulance Charlotte has made a full recovery with only a few minor operations to be still carried out. Charlotte since the accident has taken up horse riding, she now competes British Showjumping up and down the country.
