Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving Page.
Between the 16th May and 9th June 2011 i cycled unsuported just over 1300 miles around the coastline and border of Scotland. Starting from Rosyth and heading east.
On my bike i carried everything i would need, tent, sleeping bag, clothes, cooking gear, food etc. I encountered hail stones, gale force wind, torrential rain and baking hot sun (only in Scotland!) also some of the most desolate parts and through some of the biggest towns. Discovering parts of Scotland i had never experienced before. Click the link to my map where you can see where i stopped every night http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=213384269361073300110.000498d3e3450f094d488&z=6
I'm raising money for Scottish Motor Neurone Disease, a particularly nasty disease where the brain shuts down the motor functions to the muscles usually starting with the voice followed by limbs then internals. My mother suffered from this and there still is no known cure.
This was probably the hardest thing i've ever done but also the best use of my time, i wont however be doing a lap of honour anytime soon!
