Story
The 3 Peaks Challenge
I am going to attempt to climb Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales) - the highest mountains in their respective countries - within 24 hours.
Being a highly trained athlete, this sort of thing should prove no problem at all. Unfortunately for me, I spend most of my spare time playing Xbox Live, eating chips and smoking fags. Still, I have 2 months to climb as many flights of stairs as I possibly can, in readyment for Saturday 30th May 2009.
"He'll need some luck and a following wind," I hear you cry and that might very well be, but what I'd prefer right now is a donation (much more tangible than luck). So if you can spare a few shekels for a worthy cause, I and more importantly Bowel Cancer UK, would be very grateful.
There is method to my madness. Not only will this be an extreme personal challenge, I shall be taking part in this event on the 12 month anniversary of my father passing away. I think this will be a fitting and positive way to help raise some money for Bowel Cancer UK.
You can keep up with my training on my blog (via the link on www.leecrompton.com) where you can also donate money to my other Bowel Cancer UK page or purchase my books with £1 from each purchase going to the charity.
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bowel Cancer UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
