Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Willow’s Journey has been set up with one aim in mind.

To make her life as comfortable and enjoyable as we possibly can. It would never happen without the help and support of our great friends.

Willow suffers from gastroparesis. This means she has been fully reliant on being fed intravenously directly via her heart (TPN) which she has now been weaned off with the hope she doesn't have to go back on to it.

Willow has spent almost all her life attached to her feeding machine. Most days she needed to be hooked up to it for 12 - 16 hours depending on her output we were aloud to change the frequency.

In order to begin to make Willow’s life more comfortable, we plan a series of adaptions to our house. She requires a wet room to make it easier to shower her; she needs a medical storage room for all her medical equipment and medicines.

There are many other simple everyday things that Willow will require whilst stuck indoors for such long periods, either upstairs or hopefully downstairs. Not only whilst at home, but also during inevitable long Hospital admissions which seem to be more frequent than ever now. The list is endless and on-going even after the adaptions have been made.

As you can imagine, none of these things come cheap.

As Willow’s parents we of course plan to fund things as best as we can by our own means, thanks to the help of many great friends and family we hope to be able to make that task just a little bit easier.
