Running a marathon is tough, I should know - Training for ages through ice, rain and snow - We had a plan, we had a dream - We were going to finish as a "Team" - Your times getting better and so were mine - Keeping to a schedule, crossing that line - Juggling the kids and muscles getting sore - Please don't ask us, we can do no more - Songs on the i-pod, playing round and round - Knowing the words to "Ministry of Sound" - Cutting the booze, eating loads of pasta - Well that's what's required ife we want to go fasta - "Team Felstead, doing well, with heart and soul - until I found that f****** pot hole!! - Our team is no more, I cannot complete - But I know you'll smash it and at the finish we'll meet - Running for Cosmic, you'll do just great - No problem at all, you'll pass through the tape - I can't be there, my ankle's black and blue - But I'd rather be there, running with you - I'm gutted, no medal, no place in the race - But if you run faster, don't rub it in my face - You're running for a great cause - Our friend's kid - so when you finish - we'll give you 500 squid!!
