The idea of 'Cap-To-Cap' originated from a converstaion we had after discussing taking part in a charity bike ride, we decided that we wanted to do something totally different from the other cycle challenges we had seen advertised and wanted to design the route ourselves. With this in mind, we decided not only to cycle through one of the countries of the United Kingdom and Ireland, but all Five!!!

So, we begin at Newcastle upon Tyne, then travel down to London, then on to Cardiff. After a short ferry trip over to Ireland, we head for Dublin, followed by Belfast. After which we take a second ferry back over to Scotland and ride towards the final capital of the challenge, Edinburgh. After a good nights rest we will begin cycling home towards the finish line back in Newcastle!

The trip should take around two - three weeks and cover well over 1000 miles.
