Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in Diabetes UK’s ‘one million steps challenge 2022’ to raise money for this great cause in my Dad’s memory. He was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 11, and was insulin dependent for all of his life ever since. He sadly and suddenly recently passed away in May 2022.

I completed 10K steps in March 2021 for Cancer Research UK, and it was a great contributor to me getting fitter, losing weight and into better shape. I enjoy walking anyway and it’s also good for your mental health. Doing it again but over three months is a greater challenge, but one that I’m looking forward to and looking forward to seeing what shape I’m in come the Autumn!
