Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Everyone suffers from some form of mental health at some point in their lives whether they want to admit it or not.
I always thought I was one of those people that would never suffer with mental health but I was wrong. A few years ago my daughter developed severe anxiety and as a result of this due to my lack of knowledge and experience, dealing with those issues mixed with sleep deprivation where Isabella would wake up in the middle of the night every night and refuse to go back to sleep, I started to develop depression, I started to feel useless as a parent because I didn’t know what sort of support i could or should be given.
Running was my escape! When I felt low I would go for a run to clear my head and eventually I started to run with Brad and thats where running for me went to another level. Not only did I enjoy the runs alot more my fitness level increases massively, the runs became therapy sessions for me, just talking about how my week has been, how my girls were and most of all how I was coping with Isabella and her anxieties and issues she was having and developing.
During this last year lots of people have lost their jobs, loved ones, been very ill themselves with covid or know sombody who had it and suffered. Being furloughed and isolated, that lack of human interaction and worry has caused a lot of people to suffer with mental health, so Brad and I would really liked to help as many people as we can to get some sort of mental health support by raising as much money as we can for the charity MIND and promoting the benefits that physical exercise can have on your mental health by running 4 Marathons in the month of July, one on every Sunday.
