THE UKCE NEW FOREST CLASSIC · 9 April 2022

We have merged with British Liver Trust to support all affected by liver disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hannah (My cousin's granddaughter) was born with a rare and life threatening liver disease called Biliary Atresia. At only 3 weeks old she needed urgent surgery to rebuild her biliary system. By the time she was 6 months she was in liver failure and needed a liver transplant. She underwent living related donor transplantation donated by her Mum, but due to complications during surgery had to have a second transplant only 1 week later from a diseased donor.

Hannah has suffered several serious infections over the last few years and further complications with her liver have lead to a 3rd transplant and now she is on the waiting list for what will be her 4th. This is an extremely rare situation to be in at only 5 years old.

Hannah is the bravest, happiest little girl, she takes it all in her stride. She is looked after by an amazing team of Doctors and Nurses on the Liver Unit at Leeds General Hospital.

Hannah and her family have received support over the years from Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, who are the only charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Children’s liver disease.

Your donation will provide important support to families and children facing lifelong liver disease, and funding vital research.

Please donate.

Thank You

Lee
