I am running the Belfast Marathon in memory of my father David Mudd who passed at the very young age of 47 due to Kidney problems. My dad was born with damaged kidneys at a time when there was little or no research and went on to lose a kidney at 28, the one he was left with never functioned properly causing multiple complications leading to his passing at the age of 47. He worked all his life and was a fighter. He was my hero.
