This is the first of what will hopefully be an annual attempt to raise some money for a very good cause. 

Last year, the wonderful man that was my father-in-law passed away from cancer. We all miss him dearly, and although I will never be able to enjoy another pint in the pub with him, I would like to try to raise some money for The Christie Hospital in his memory. The staff there were fantastic throughout to Tony and the family during his four and a half year battle, and their research and care is invaluable and important. We can but hope that one day they will be able to find a cure for this terrible disease.

I will be taking part in the Great Manchester Cycle - a 52 mile bike ride around Central Manchester. I appreciate everyone gets a lot if these requests but please do what you can - it's a worthy cause and I am horribly out of condition so I will feel every single mile!
