“MURPH REPEAT 24hr CROSSFIT “ · 13 September 2019

We support serving Riflemen & veterans to enhance lives & reduce hardship.

Story

IT’s SUPPOSED TO BE HARD, IF IT WASN'T HARD, EVERYONE WOULD DO IT.  THE HARD...... IS WHAT MAKES IT GREAT.

On the 14 Sept 19 in Afghanistan in the blazing heat  , 21 members of UK 🇬🇧  Armed forces, including a  mixture of Rifleman, A Royal engineer officer and a Royal Marine & AAPTI , a Reservist, will take part in a 24 hrs CrossFit workout. They will complete “MURPH “ as many times as possible in 24 hours. We are aiming for 12/13 times.

MURPH- wearing body armour

1 mile - 100 Pull ups- 200 Press ups- 300 Squats -1 mile run.

Total reps if we complete 12 MURPHS

24 miles- 1200 pull ups- 2400 press ups- 3600 Squats

For those of you who have completed 1 MURPH, will know this is a very hard challenge.

Team -WO1 RSM Jones , WO2 Farrell, CSjt Campbell, SSgt Bruce , Rfn Donovan, Cpl Niescior, Capt Clayton , Capt Aitken, Lcpl Tamang , Csgt Fisher, LCpl Lowen Davies -, LT Unwin, Rfn Sampson, Rfn Martin,WO2 Hinks, Sgt Barrigan, Rfn Field-Simpson Pte Parrott, LT Young , LT Rudland-Potter - LCPL Hopwood.

Individuals will complete all Reps themselves , not as a team. We are purely there to help motivate and push each other through the pain barrier.

We are doing this event in order to promote awareness in mental health issues within serving soldiers and veterans , we also aim to raise money for our Regimental charity “Care 4 Casualties” (C4C).

Mental health issues require so much help and influence to ensure individuals don’t hide this, it takes a bigger person to come forward and admit problems rather than hide them.”

Each member of the team has volunteered to compete in this event.  Please get behind us and support a good cause.
