Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September 2023 I will be attempting my hardest ever challenge, where I will be cycling from Saint Malo to Avignon in France. Just to make things harder this passes right through the Alps. I will take on almost 2000km and 16,000m of climbing over 10 days.

This will also involve many many hours of training from now until we depart on this epic journey. So it’s not just about the event, there is also a huge amount of training time, so any help and support along the way is greatly appreciated.

This is also to raise funds for the Smile for Georgie Foundation which is a very worthy cause…

Following a tragic road traffic accident in July of 2017, the family of Georgie Le Prevost wanted to do something positive and decided to raise money for a local charity through a sponsored, tandem parachute jump with Jersey skydive. Annie and Jenny Le Prevost were overwhelmed with the immense public support and generosity of Guernsey people who made a vast number of donations to their JustGiving page.

This generosity prompted the family to consider ways in which they could make a positive contribution to the Island in memory of Georgie and this is how the concept of the ‘Smile For Georgie Foundation’ emerged.

The foundation was officially registered on the 31 January 2018, with the purpose of making a difference and bringing smiles to the people of Guernsey through small acts of kindness.

Those who knew Georgie will appreciate the positive contribution she made to life and the smile she had for everyone. The foundation intends to reflect her personality in all that is does and looks forward to receiving ongoing public support that will ensure its success.
