Story

Update! A couple of Kellie’s best friends have challenged me to a race! So to cap off this year’s K3P, Marie Hammond, Pauline Pham and I will take on the Kirkstall Abbey 1/2 marathon trail run in November.

Pauline and Marie will share this page to drive further sponsorship for a charity that helps to make a difference 😊

Read on to understand more, and thank you 🙏🏻 x

Could you sponsor me just 15p, 25p or  50p per mile for  my K3P challenge this year? Perhaps just £5 per challenge?

Following last year’s Yorkshire K3 Peaks, this year I will be competing in 3 events to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Care.  The Lap - Ultra Marathon (47mile)  in May,  Yorkshire Ultra Warrior in July and then the iconic Great North Run - half marathon in September.

Starting with the most brutal, The Lap consists of a 47 mile circular route round Lake Windermere with some killer climbs.

After a few weeks of recovery, it’ll then be the Ultra Warrior. 12km / 25 brutal obstacles and 5 hrs to complete as many laps as possible.

Finally, it’ll be the Great North Run. 13 miles of hoping I can keep my battered legs and back together for one last time.

We created K3P last year to remember and raise money in memory and celebration of Kellie Simmons who was taken far too early by cancer.  A mum, sister, daughter and friend.

Always in our heart ❤️
