Hi all I am an ex Light Infantry Soldier who believes in and supports the difficult jobs that our servicemen and women are doing formerly in Iraq but now in Afghanistan.  I am not a politician and do not want to worry about the rights or wrongs about our troops being in Afghanistan.

What I do know is that they are all ordinary guys and girls just like you and me, they are someones Mother and Father a brother, sister aunt and uncle with families that love them all for who they are and the job that they are doing serving our Country protecting you and me so we and our families can have a safer future.

Our service people are doing a fantastic job under extremely difficult circumstances and I for one am very proud of what they are doing, to that end I have organised a Charity Aircraft pull along the runway at Durham TeesValley Airport on Staurday 17th October 2009. in aid of Help for Heroes who are a fantastic Charity who look after our injured servicemen and women when they return home from operations.
