Story

Having previously suffered from a 15 year eating disorder, depression and alcohol issues, I've experienced some extremely challenging times and hit rock bottom.

However, in 2011 when I qualified as a Personal Trainer, fitness saved me and helped turn my life around. Since then, I've become a multi-award winning Fitness Entrepreneur and competed at both a European and World Obstacle Course Racing Championship.

With an obsession of Everest since I was young, pushing myself to my limits and motivating & inspiring others, I'll be heading to Everest in Spring 2024 in a bid to take on my biggest challenge to date, lifelong dream and become first female from Aberdeen (7th Scottish female) to conquer the highest mountain in the world.

All whilst raising as much money as possible for Friends of Anchor and awareness of mental health issues.

As well as showing my son (Jaxon, age 5) and daughter (Léa, age 8) what you can achieve when you believe in yourself.

Not only will this be a major achievement in Scottish and women’s mountaineering history, but with a fear of heights and breathing issues (broncho constriction) triggered by intense exercise and cold temperatures, I'll have to overcome an indescribable amount of mental and physical obstacles in order to achieve my goal.

Every penny of your donation will go towards Friends of Anchor's mission to support cancer and haematology patients in the North-east.

Over the last 25 years, the charity has funded millions to make that vision possible; investing in medical equipment, pioneering research and person-centred wellbeing that push the boundaries in how patients are diagnosed, treated and cared for.

Something I've experienced first hand.

4 years ago, my Grumpa spent his last few days in palliative care at the Anchor Unit before taking his last breath. I was at his bedside the entire time and the staff were amazing. Raising money to further enable them to help more people is my way of saying thank you that I know my Grumpa would support and be proud of.

All of Friends of ANCHOR's overheads are covered by local company Balmoral Group, so you can rest assured that 100% of your donation will do great work!
