Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon in 2012 for the Hospice of St Francis in Berkhamstead, a cause very personal to Beth and I as they have in recent years ensured that both Beth's mum and dad, Sue and Lyn Ingram were as comfortable as possible at the end of their illnesses and have provided ongoing support to our family.

The Hospice provides a tremendous service in offering care and support to terminally ill patients, but also in offering support and advise to families.

The Hospice of St Francis cares for people from Dacorum, St Albans, Harpenden, Markyate, Chesham, Amersham and the surrounding villages. It is the only in patient unit with special facilities that allow patients to be cared for 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It also helps patients who are seriously ill at home and in day hospice but needs to raise more than £3.5million every year.

Please visit www.stfrancis.org.uk to find out more about the Hospice and why it is such an important facility to support.
